To An Atheist – Using God’s Name in Vain Should Be Equal God Bless You

Robins AFB personnel were informed today that the expression “Have a blessed day!”  would no longer be tolerated as a form of greeting for base security personnel – or anyone else who interacts with the general public.   According to  Mikey Weinstein, President and Founder of  Military Religious Freedom Foundation, an airman, temporarily assigned to RAFB, has been greeted by this offensive term numerous time over the past two week,  as he entered the middle Georgia military facility.   However; Weinstein stated that he was able to resolve the issue with Robins officials within three minutes and ten seconds.   He stated that the base security force was instructed to use a more generic greeting.

Logically, these ‘non-believers should be equally offended by the expression “G** Dammit”! –  or simply “Dammit!” as these expressions also imply” . . .  a notion that . . . a higher power has an influence on how my day” is going wrong.

So the next time any individual at any military facility around the world hears this phrase being used that person should do the right thing and contact Mr. Weinstein’s organization to inform them of the violation.  Tell these caretakers of atheist right that you are notifying them of a violation because  you are worried that a non-believer may have heard the expression and was offended.  And you fear that the non-believer may be afraid of retributions by his co-workers, if he complains.   Taking this action will allow Mr. Weinstein’s organization to right a wrong in the military workplace – and righting wrongs is what Weinstein and his organization are about.
