But Perhaps We Do Know the Event

God is not haphazard in His planning. He is consistent throughout the Holy Scripture – from Creation to the Final Judgment. His blueprint is clearly laid out in Scripture and His intent clear. Jesus Christ and His Redemptive plan for Mankind are established in the beginning and can be traced through the each stanza of inspired Word of God – from the first verse of Genesis to the last verse of Revelation.

God’s plan for Man’s Salvation was locked in place for Eternity with the Crucifixion, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. These three events made possible the forgiveness of Sin and provided an avenue of Redemption before God. And through Redemption, believers formed His Church and became His future Bride. A spotless Bride now found acceptable for presentation before a Most Holy God.

Spring is the Season of Rebirth – and God’s four Festivals of Spring emphasis this point. And as much as the spring holidays are about Redemption and Rebirth; the Fall Celebrations are about Judgment and the Return of Christ to claim His Kingdom. It only seems logical that since God used the Spring Holidays as the device for accomplishing His Plan of Salvation and offering a Way for the Redemption of Man, that He would have an inspired purpose for the remaining Fall Celebrations. His intent would be to use these God sanctioned events to see the completion of His plan as foretold in Biblical Prophesy.

Throughout the life of the Church, countless men have thrown out hollow prediction of when the great day of our Christ’s return would occur. In the eyes of the world, not only have these men embarrassed themselves – but also the Most High God. But then again, these false prophesies help bring about a different fulfillment of Holy Scripture(II Peter 3:4).  With each of this failed proclamations, mankind, in his folly, will laugh and boast “Where is the promise of his coming?”

So in the end rest assured, we most certainly do not know the hour or day of His return; but perhaps we do know the event.
